New Endodontic Patients Burwood

What To Expect At Your First Visit

Smiling woman leaving office with receptionist behind herAt your initial appointment we will explain your diagnosis and treatment options. Treatment can often be commenced on the same day as the consultation. A separate consultation will be required for patients requiring intravenous sedation and for patients with a complex medical history or complex treatment plan. In such cases, appointments will then be scheduled to commence treatment.

Please assist us by providing the following information at the time of your consultation:

  • Your referral letter and any X-rays if applicable.
  • A list of medications you are presently taking.

IMPORTANT: A parent or guardian must accompany all patients under the age of 18 at the consultation visit.

Please advise our practice if you have a medical condition that may be of concern prior to surgery (i.e. diabetes, high blood pressure, artificial heart valves and joints, rheumatic fever, etc.) or if you are on any medication (i.e. heart medications, aspirin, anticoagulant therapy, etc.) or require medication prior to dental cleanings (i.e antibiotics, for pre-med.)

X-Rays

If your dentist has taken recent x-rays (within 6-months), please have them forwarded to our practice. It is common for new x-rays to be taken at your consultation as they will provide the most accurate and up-to-date picture of your tooth – there will be no extra charge for any additional x-rays taken.
